As a Production Worker – Washer / Tumbler Operator, you'll be a key part of our plant's laundry production flow, running industrial washing equipment and helping us deliver clean, quality product to the businesses that depend on us every day.

 

Pay: $18.75 an hour, the starting pay is based on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignment.

Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Load and unload laundry into and out of washing and drying equipment
  • Read and set machine controls and cycle times to meet job requirements
  • Inspect items for proper condition before unloading, based on load type
  • Move loads into designated laundry carts and empty tumblers for drying
  • Record load information accurately on the Tumbler Data Sheet
  • Follow all plant safety procedures and help ensure teammates do the same
  • Perform other production duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with plant equipment or machinery a plus, but not required — we train
  • Able to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Able to stand and walk for the full shift
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally up to 100 lbs
  • Able to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
  • Comfortable working around heat, humidity, and industrial noise

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role is based in the production area of an active industrial laundry facility, which includes exposure to heat, humidity, and a loud noise level. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception are required.
