Mission Linen Supply is currently looking for a Seamstress. The Seamstress must have experience perform sewing, alterations and embellishments to garments.

The Seamstress is $16 an hour - $17.51 an hour, the starting salary is based on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sew garments using needles and threads or sewing machine.
• Ability to measure garments and mark or pin-fold alterations lines.
• Ability to remove stitches from garments using rippers or razor blades.
• Ability to maintain equipment operating by following operating instructions.
• Ensures safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Ability to works in the consignment area pulling boxes weighing approx. 20 lbs from the shelf.
• Ability to garments from the box, places on hangers, and then assembles the order on a rolling bar.
• Ability to transfers garments from a rolling bar (rolls on the floor) and places on trolley that travels on rail system.
• Documents production by completing forms.
• Communicate with the Production Manager and internal teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, step on ladders
• Must have a strong work ethic, with an eagerness to show initiative to assist in all functions
• Computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook
